then why must we download DX10 for the VG beta? I personally don't know enough about it to really debate the differences between the update, but i know that it did not run on dx9 when i tried, and in the lil patcher window it said to get dx10, the MS website is here, and it lead to a direct link to it....

I'd be happy to clear up this misconception because it is, without a doubt, wrong.

In october we required everyone to update to the latest publish of 9.0c, which is not DirectX 10.

If you visit www.microsoft.com/directx you will see they have a new publish of 9.0c released on 12/13.

DirectX 10 brings alot of changes, namely, requiring you to run Vista. Obviously this would alienate a vast majority of players http://www.vanguardsoh.com/forums/im...lies/smile.gif
